3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
And indeed Nuh (Noah) invoked Us, and We are the Best of those who answer (the request). 75 And We delivered him and his people from the Great Calamity, 76 And his offspring! them We made the survivors. 77 and We left him thus to be remembered among later generations: 78 "Peace and salutation to Noah among the nations!" 79 Thus do We surely reward the doers of good. 80 he was one of Our believing worshipers. 81 Thereafter We caused the others to be drowned. 82 ۞ Verily among those who followed his Way was Abraham. 83 when he turned to his Sustainer with a heart free of evil, 84 When he said to his father and to his people: "What is it that which you worship? 85 “What! You desire, through fabrication, Gods other than Allah?” 86 What do you think of the Lord of the whole Universe?” 87 Then he cast a glance at the stars, 88 and said: 'Surely, I am sick (of what you worship)' 89 So they turned away from him, and departed (for fear of the disease). 90 He then sneaked upon their deities and said, “Do you not eat?” 91 What is the matter with you that you do not speak?" 92 And then he fell upon them, smiting them with his right hand. 93 Then they (the worshippers of idols) came, towards him, hastening. 94 but he said, "How can you worship things you carve with your own hands, 95 when it is God who has created you and all your handiwork?" 96 They said: build for him a building and cast him into the flaming fire. 97 They wanted to harm him, but We humiliated them all. 98 And he said: Surely I fly to my lord; He will guide me. 99 My Lord! Bestow on me a son who will be of the righteous. 100 So We gave him good tidings of a forbearing boy. 101 and when he was old enough to go about and work with him, (one day) Abraham said to him: “My son, I see in my dream that I am slaughtering you. So consider (and tell me) what you think.” He said: “Do as you are bidden. You will find me, if Allah so wills, among the steadfast.” 102 Then, when they had both submitted themselves (to the Will of Allah), and he had laid him prostrate on his forehead (or on the side of his forehead for slaughtering); 103 We called to him, saying: 'O Abraham, 104 thou hast already fulfilled [the purpose of] that dream-vision!" Thus, verily, do We reward the doers of good: 105 That was indeed a trying test. 106 And We ransomed him with a great sacrifice (i.e. a ram); 107 and We preserved for him a good name among posterity. 108 Peace be unto Abraham! 109 Thus do We reward the doers of good 110 Surely he was one of Our believing servants. 111 And we gave him tidings of the birth of Isaac, a prophet of the righteous. 112 and blessed him and Isaac too: some of their offspring were good, but some clearly sinned against their souls. 113
