Have you seen the one who turned away 33 And gave little, and then stopped? 34 Does he possess the knowledge of the Unseen, and therefore he sees? 35 Or has he never yet been told of what was [said] in the revelations of Moses, 36 And with Abraham who kept his word: 37 that no soul shall bear the burden of another; 38 and that a man shall have to his account only as he has laboured, 39 That his endeavours will be judged, 40 Then he will be recompensed with a full and the best recompense. 41 And that unto thy Lord is the goal. 42 And that it is He Who causeth to laugh and causeth to weep. 43 And that it is He (Allah) Who causes death and gives life; 44 And that He createth the two spouses, the male and the female, 45 from an ejected drop of sperm; 46 and on Him depends the life hereafter. 47 and that it is He alone who frees from want and causes to possess; 48 and that it is He alone who sustains the brightest star; 49 That it was He who destroyed the 'Ad of old, 50 Thamud, 51 And the people of Nuh before; surely they were most unjust and inordinate; 52 and the Subverted City He also overthrew, 53 so that there came upon them that which came. 54 Which of your Lord's benefits will you then dispute about? 55 This is a warning among the warnings of yore. 56 The Approaching Day has approached. 57 No one besides God can rescue a soul from hardship. 58 Do you marvel then at this discourse (the Koran)? 59 and do you laugh, and do you not weep, 60 Wasting your time in vanities? 61 Rather prostrate yourselves before Allah and serve Him. ۩ 62
