Didst thou (O Muhammad) observe him who turned away, 33 and gives a little, and then grudgingly? 34 Hath he knowledge of the Unseen so that he seeth? 35 Has he not heard what is contained in the Book of Moses, 36 And of Ibrahim, who was most obedient? 37 That no burdened person (with sins) shall bear the burden (sins) of another. 38 That a man receives but only that for which he strives; 39 That (the fruit of) his striving will soon come in sight: 40 whereupon he shall be requited for it with the fullest requital; 41 That to thy Lord is the final Goal; 42 And that it is He who makes [one] laugh and weep 43 And that it is He who causes death and gives life 44 And that He (Allah) creates the pairs, male and female, 45 From Nutfah (drops of semen male and female discharges) when it is emitted; 46 That the second creation is incumbent on Him; 47 and that it is He who gives wealth and riches, 48 And that He is the Lord of the Sirius; 49 And that He did destroy the Ad of old 50 and Thamud, leaving no trace [of them,] 51 And the people of Noah before. Indeed, it was they who were [even] more unjust and oppressing. 52 And Al-Mu'tafikah He destroyed 53 so that there covered it that which covered. 54 So O listener! Which favour of your Lord will you doubt? 55 This is a (Prophet) like that of the ancient warners (Prophets). 56 The (Judgment) ever approaching draws nigh: 57 [although] none but God can unveil it.... 58 At this discourse then marvel ye? 59 and do they laugh instead of weeping, 60 While ye amuse yourselves? 61 Bow instead in adoration before God and worship Him. ۩ 62
Almighty Allah's Truth.
