28 verses, revealed in Mecca after A 'araaf (Al-A 'araaf) before Y S (Yaa Seen)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ Say, [O Muhammad], "It has been revealed to me that a group of the jinn listened and said, 'Indeed, we have heard an amazing Qur'an. 1 Guiding unto rectitude; wherefore we have believed therein, and we shall by no means associate with our Lord anyone. 2 He exalted be the Majesty of our Lord, who has neither taken to Himself a wife, nor a son! 3 And the foolish among us were wont to forge lies against Allah exceedingly. 4 and we had thought that men and jinn would never speak against God a lie. 5 And that persons from among men used to seek refuge with persons from among jinn, so they increased them in wrongdoing: 6 Like you, they thought that Allah would never raise the dead. 7 'And we have sought to reach the heaven; but found it filled with stern guards and flaming fires. 8 And we used to sit on places (high) therein to listen. But he who listeneth now findeth a flame in wait for him; 9 "'And [now we have become aware] that we [created beings] may not know whether evil fortune is intended for [any of] those who live on earth, or whether it is their Sustainer's will to endow them with consciousness of what is right: 10 ‘And among us some are virtuous and some are the other type; we are split into several branches.’ 11 We knew that we could never challenge God whether we stayed on earth or fled elsewhere. 12 and that “when we heard the teaching of the Right Way we came to believe in it; he who believes in His Lord shall have no fear of suffering loss or being subjected to any injustice”; 13 And among us are Muslims [in submission to Allah], and among us are the unjust. And whoever has become Muslim - those have sought out the right course. 14 But as for the unjust, they will be, for Hell, firewood.' 15 If people were to keep firmly to the Right Way, We would have vouchsafed them abundant rain 16 as a trial for them. God will make those who disregard the guidance from their Lord suffer increasing torment. 17 ‘And that the mosques are for Allah only – therefore do not worship anyone along with Allah.’ 18 And that when the Servant of Allah stood up supplicating Him, they almost became about him a compacted mass." 19

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
