Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By (the wind) those sent (as horses') mane (in succession), 1 And the winds that blow violently 2 Which scatter clouds to their destined places, 3 Then by those that clearly differentiate the right and wrong. 4 and those (angels) dropping, reminding 5 To excuse or to warn, 6 Surely what you are promised shall come to pass. 7 When the stars shall be extinguished, 8 And when the heaven is cloven asunder. 9 And when the mountains are carried away as dust, 10 And when the Messengers are gathered to their time appointed; 11 To which Day has this task been deferred? 12 For the Day of Sorting out. 13 And what will explain to thee what is the Day of Sorting out? 14 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 15 Did We not destroy many a nation of the earlier times? 16 Then caused the latter folk to follow after? 17 Thus do We deal with the sinful ones. 18 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 19 Did We not create you from an abject fluid? 20 which We then placed in a secure repository 21 for a term pre-ordained? 22 Thus have We determined [the nature of man's creation]: and excellent indeed is Our power to determine [what is to be]! 23 Woe, on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 24 Did We not make the earth as a gathering place 25 the living and the dead? 26 And We placed high mountains as anchors in it and gave you sweet water to drink. 27 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 28 Proceed to that which you denied. 29 Depart unto the shadow falling threefold, 30 Neither shady nor protecting against the blazing Fire. 31 It will throw out sparks as logs of wood 32 and yellow camels. 33 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 34 This is the day they shall not speak 35 nor shall they be permitted to offer excuses. 36 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 37 that Day of Distinction [between the true and the false, when they will be told]: "We have brought you together with those [sinners] of olden times; 38 If you have any plans, use them. 39 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 40
