Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the loosed ones successively 1 which then blow tempestuously 2 And [by] the winds that spread [clouds] 3 Then by those that clearly differentiate the right and wrong. 4 by those who bring down the reminder, 5 To end all argument or to warn. 6 Surely, what you are promised must come to pass. 7 So when the stars are obliterated 8 Heavens will rent asunder. 9 When the mountains are scattered (to the winds) as dust; 10 and when the Messengers' time is set 11 For what day is the time appointed? 12 To the Day of Decision. 13 And what could make thee conceive what that Day of Distinction will be? 14 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth. 15 Did We not destroy the men of old (for their evil)? 16 Then did We follow them up with later ones. 17 Thus do We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 19 Did We not create you from a humble fluid, 20 which We then placed in a secure repository 21 Till a limit known? 22 We determined; excellent determiners are We. 23 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle? 25 for the living and the dead, 26 Set We not therein soaring mountains? Sated you with sweetest water? 27 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 28 Proceed to that which you denied. 29 Depart into the shadow of three masses, 30 Neither having the coolness of the shade nor availing against the flame. 31 it indeed throws up sparks like castles, 32 and yellow camels. 33 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 34 They will not be able to speak that day, 35 Nor given leave to make excuses. 36 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 37 That will be the Day of Reckoning. Gathered will be (you) and the earlier (generations). 38 If you are cunning, then try your cunning against Me! 39 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 40
