۞ He frowned and turned away. 1 that the blind man came to him. 2 What made you think that he will not grow in virtue, 3 Or take heed and so the reminder might avail him? 4 As for he who thinks himself without need, 5 To him you give attention. 6 though you are not to be blamed if he would not purify himself -- 7 And as to him who comes to you striving hard, 8 And hath fear, 9 Him thou neglectest! 10 Assuredly this is a reminder 11 So whosoever willeth - let him be admonished therewlth. 12 (It is) in Records held (greatly) in honour (Al-Lauh Al-Mahfuz). 13 Exalted, purified, 14 by the hands of the noble, virtuous, 15 noble and purified. 16 Perish man! how ungrateful he is! 17 Of what thing did He create him? 18 From a (sperm) drop He created him and then determined him, 19 Then made his passage easy (at birth); 20 Then He caused him to die and be buried 21 Then when He pleases, He will bring him back to life. 22 Certainly, he has not duly fulfilled His commands. 23 Let the human reflect on the food he eats, 24 We poured water, pouring it in great abundance, 25 Then We cleave the earth, cleaving (it) asunder, 26 Thereby produced grain in it. 27 And Grapes and nutritious plants, 28 and olive trees and date-palms, 29 And gardens of dense shrubbery 30 and fruits and herbage, 31 (These are made so as to be) means of enjoyment for you and your cattle. 32 But when the deafening cry shall be sounded 33 on that Day a man shall flee from his own brother, 34 Mother and father, 35 And from his wife and his children. 36 on that Day each will be occupied with his own business, making him oblivious of all save himself. 37 Faces on that Day shall be beaming, 38 Laughing, joyous. 39 And other faces, on that day, with dust upon them, 40 Darkness shall cover them. 41 It is they, the disbelievers, the sinners. 42
