The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
When the sun is folded up, 1 The stars turn dim and scatter, 2 And when the mountains are removed 3 when the pregnant camels are neglected, 4 and when all beasts are gathered together, 5 And when the seas shall become as blazing Fire or shall overflow; 6 when the souls are coupled (to their body), 7 when the buried female infant is asked 8 For what sin she was killed 9 And when the pages are made public 10 And when the heaven is torn away. 11 When the Blazing Fire is kindled to fierce heat; 12 And when the Garden is brought near;- 13 then every soul will discover the consequence of its deeds. 14 So by oath of those that revolve. (The planets.) 15 orbiting, disappearing; 16 And by the night as it departs; 17 And by the dawn when it breathes 18 Verily it is a Word brought by a messenger honoured, 19 one mighty and held in honour with the Lord of the Throne; 20 Obeyed and worthy there of trust. 21 And your comrade is not mad. 22 And indeed he saw him on the clear horizon. (Prophet Mohammed saw Angel Jibreel in his true shape – peace and blessings be upon them). 23 He (Muhammad) is not accused of lying about the unseen. 24 This is not the utterance of an accursed devil. 25 So where are you going? 26 Verily, this (the Quran) is no less than a Reminder to (all) the 'Alamin (mankind and jinns). 27 (With profit) to whoever among you wills to go straight: 28 Though you cannot desire except as God will, the Lord of all the worlds. 29
