Al-Infitaar
Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ When the heaven is split asunder, 1 when the planets are scattered, 2 when the seas are made to burst forth, 3 when the graves are overturned, 4 Each soul shall know that which it sent afore and that which it left behind. 5 O man! What has deceived you about your generous Lord 6 The One Who created you, then moulded you, then made you proper? 7 Into whatsoever form He will, He casteth thee. 8 By no means! Aye, ye belie the Requital. 9 Yet over you there are watchers, 10 noble scribes, 11 and these honorable scribes know whatever you do. 12 The pious will surely be in heaven, 13 And most surely the wicked are in burning fire, 14 [a fire] which they shall enter on Judgment Day, 15 And thence they shall not be allowed to be absent. 16 And what shall make thee know whatsoever the Day of Requital is? 17 Again: what will make you realize what the Day of Judgement will be? 18 It is a Day whereon no soul shall own aught of power for any soul; and the command on that Day will be Allah's. 19
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
