Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ WHEN THE SKY is cleft asunder, 1 when the stars are scattered, 2 And when the seas are flowed out, 3 when the tombs are overthrown, 4 Every soul shall know what it has sent before and held back. 5 O man! What hath made thee careless concerning thy Lord, the Bountiful, 6 Who created you proportionately and fashioned you 7 In whatsoever form He listed He constructed thee. 8 Rather, you belied the Recompense. 9 Verify there are for you guardians, 10 noble, recording, 11 They know whatsoever ye do. 12 The virtuous ones will live in bliss 13 whereas the wicked will be in Hell; 14 roasting therein on the Day of Doom, 15 to burn therein. 16 What could let you know what the Day of Recompense is! 17 Again, what shall make thee know whatsoever the Day of Requital is? 18 It will be a Day when no human being shall be of the least avail to any other human being, God [alone] will hold command on that Day. 19
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
