Al-Taareq
The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the heaven, and At-Tariq (the night-comer, i.e. the bright star); 1 And what can make you know what is the night comer? 2 - The piercing Star! 3 There is no soul which is not guarded (by the two angels who record all of its deeds). 4 Let the human reflect of what he is created. 5 He is created from a drop emitted- 6 That issueth from between the loins and the breast-bones. 7 Lo! He verily is Able to return him (unto life) 8 The Day when all the secrets (deeds, prayers, fasting, etc.) will be examined (as to their truth). 9 He will have no strength or helper. 10 By heaven of the returning rain, 11 and the replenishing earth, 12 this (Qur'an) is surely a decisive Word, 13 and it is certainly not a jest. 14 They are hatching up a plot, 15 And I plot a plot (against them). 16 So grant the unbelievers a respite: let them alone for a while. 17
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
