The Night (Al-Layl)
21 verses, revealed in Mecca after The All High (Al-A'alaa) before Dawn (Al-Fajr)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the night enshrouding 1 and by the day as it appears radiantly, 2 Consider the creation of the male and the female! 3 Verily, [O men,] you aim at most divergent ends! 4 Yet he who gives to others and has fear, 5 and believes in the truth of what is right, 6 We will ease him toward ease. 7 But as for him who hoardeth and deemeth himself independent, 8 And rejects goodness, 9 We shall pave his way to hardship, 10 And his riches will not avail him when he falls headlong (into the Abyss). 11 Lo! Ours it is (to give) the guidance 12 And truly, unto Us (belong) the last (Hereafter) and the first (this world). 13 I therefore warn you of the fire that is ablaze. 14 None will [enter to] burn therein except the most wretched one. 15 who have rejected the (Truth) and have turned away from it. 16 and from which the cautious shall be distanced. 17 he that spends his possessions [on others] so that he might grow in purity 18 not as payment for any favours that he received, 19 Except the seeking of the pleasure of his Lord, the Most High. 20 And indeed, soon he will be very pleased. 21
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
