He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ (The Prophet (Peace be upon him)) frowned and turned away, 1 that the blind man came to him. 2 What could inform thee but that he might grow (in grace) 3 or receive some (Quranic) advice which would benefit him. 4 As for him who regardeth himself self-sufficient 5 To him dost thou attend; 6 And not upon you [is any blame] if he will not be purified. 7 And as to him who comes to you striving hard, 8 And is also fearful (of God), 9 you ignore him. 10 Indeed, this [Quran] is an admonition. 11 So whoso wills may give heed to it. 12 (This Quran) is also recorded in honorable books, 13 exalted, purified, 14 [borne] by the hands of messengers 15 noble and virtuous scribes. 16 [But only too often] man destroys himself: how stubbornly does he deny the truth! 17 Of what thing did He create him? 18 Of a small seed; He created him, then He made him according to a measure, 19 then the way eased for him, 20 and in the end He causes him to die and brings him to the grave; 21 Then when He wills, He will resurrect him. 22 But no. He has not fulfilled what was enjoined on him. 23 So man must look at his food. 24 We poured water, pouring it in great abundance, 25 then We split the earth in fissures 26 and therein made the grains to grow 27 And grapes and clover plants (i.e. green fodder for the cattle), 28 And olive and palm trees 29 and dense orchards, 30 and fruits, and pastures, 31 (These are made so as to be) means of enjoyment for you and your cattle. 32 So when the deafening Shout arrives, 33 upon the day when a man shall flee from his brother, 34 And from his mother and his father, 35 and from his spouse and his children: 36 for on that day everyone will be completely engrossed in his own concerns. 37 Many faces will that day be bright, 38 laughing and joyous 39 And many a face will be covered with dust on that day. 40 Covered with the blackness (of shame): 41 It is they, the disbelievers, the sinners. 42
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
End of Surah: He Frowned ('Abasa). Sent down in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
ColorfulQuran.com displays pages in one of three Arabic fonts. Each may appear with a one-third chance, adding more diversity to the already diverse colors. And the words remain unchanged forever. ColorfulQuran.com will have more beautiful fonts soon, God willing.
