Mention in the Book Abraham; He was truthful and a Prophet. 41 He said to his father: 'O father, why worship that which can neither see nor hear, nor helps you in anything? 42 O my father! truly the knowledge has come to me which has not come to you, therefore follow me, I will guide you on a right path: 43 Father, do not worship satan; he has disobeyed the Beneficent God. 44 Father, I fear that a punishment from the Most Compassionate Lord might strike you and you may end up as one of Satan's companions?" 45 His father replied, "Abraham, are you telling me to give-up my gods? If you will not stop this, I shall stone you to death. Leave my house and do not come back again". 46 [Abraham] replied: "Peace be upon thee! I shall ask my Sustainer to forgive thee: for, behold, He has always been kind unto me. 47 I shall stay away from you and what you worship instead of God. I worship my Lord and hope that my prayers will not be ignored." 48 Thus, when he left them and the (idols) they worshipped, We bestowed on him Isaac and Jacob, and made each of them a prophet, 49 And we gave them of Our mercy, and assigned to them a high and true renown. 50
