Al-Aadeyaat
The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
I CALL TO witness the chargers, snorting, rushing to battle before the others, 1 and produce sparks 2 as they gallop to make raids at dawn, 3 raising a trail of dust, 4 And penetrate forthwith into the midst (of the foe) en masse;- 5 Indeed mankind, to his Lord, is ungrateful. 6 And is himself witness to it, 7 And lo! in the love of wealth he is violent. 8 ۞ Knows he not that when the contents of the graves are brought out and poured forth (all mankind is resurrected). 9 and all that is [hidden] in men's hearts is bared 10 Verily, that Day (i.e. the Day of Resurrection) their Lord will be Well-Acquainted with them (as to their deeds), (and will reward them for their deeds). 11
God the Almighty always says the truth.
