Al-Aadeyaat
The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By the snorting, panting horses, 1 by the strikers of fire, 2 And scouring to the raid at dawn 3 And therein raising dust. 4 And cleaving their way therein into the host, 5 VERILY, towards his Sustainer man is most ungrateful 6 And lo! he is a witness unto that; 7 and surely he loves riches with a passionate loving. 8 ۞ Does he not know when the contents of the graves are laid bare 9 And that which is in the breasts (of men) shall be made known. 10 Indeed, their Lord with them, that Day, is [fully] Acquainted. 11
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
