The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Woe to every slanderer and backbiter. 1 Who pileth up wealth and layeth it by, 2 thinking that his wealth will make him live forever! 3 By no means! He will be sure to be thrown into That which Breaks to Pieces, 4 and what shall teach thee what is the Crusher; 5 It is a fierce fire created by God 6 Which rises above the hearts. 7 Verily, it shall be closed in on them, 8 In columns outstretched. 9

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
