Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

Perish the two hands of Abu Lahab (an uncle of the Prophet), and perish he! 1 His wealth and gains will not exempt him. 2 He will be burnt in a Fire of blazing flames! 3 and also his wife who carries the fuel, 4 Will have upon her neck a halter of palm-fibre. 5

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
