(Moses) said: My Lord! relieve my mind 25 And ease for me my affair. 26 “And untie the knot of my tongue.” 27 "So they may understand what I say: 28 Appoint for me of my folk a familiar, 29 Aaron, my brother. 30 By him confirm my strength 31 and let him share my task, 32 That we may hallow Thee oft. 33 "And remember Thee without stint: 34 You are Well Aware of our situation." 35 Said He: "Thou art granted all that thou hast asked for, O Moses! 36 "And indeed, We bestowed Our favour upon thee at a time long since past, 37 when We inspired thy mother with this inspiration: 38 Place him in a chest and throw it into the river, and thereupon the river will cast him ashore, [and] one who is an enemy unto Me and an enemy unto him will adopt him. "And [thus early] I spread Mine Own love over thee - and [this] in order that thou might be formed under Mine eye. 39 What time thy sister was walking along and saying: shall I direct you unto one who will take care of him? Thus We returned thee to thy mother that she might cool her eyes and she might not grieve. And thou slewest a person, but We delivered thee from sorrow, and We tried thee with several trials. Then thou tarriedst for years among the people of Madyan then thou camest according to fate, O Musa! 40 for I have chosen thee for Mine Own service. 41 Go, you and your brother, with My signs, and do not be remiss in remembering Me. 42 Go both of you to the Pharaoh; he has become a rebel. 43 Then say to him a gentle saying; haply he may be admonished or he may fear. 44 They both submitted, “Our Lord – indeed we fear that he may oppress us or deal mischievously.” 45 He said; fear not; verily I shall be with you twain: I shall hear and see. 46 So go you both to Pharaoh, and say, "We are the Messengers of thy Lord, so send forth with us the Children of Israel and chastise them not; we have brought thee a sign from thy Lord; and peace be upon him who follows the guidance! 47 It has been revealed to us that punishment will befall him who denies and turns away. 48 Pharaoh said, "Who then is the Lord of you both, Moses?" 49 They replied, "Our Lord is the One Who has created all things and has given guidance". 50 [Fir'aun (Pharaoh)] said: "What about the generations of old?" 51 He said, “Their knowledge is with my Lord, (recorded) in a Book; my Lord neither strays nor forgets.” 52 It is He who made the earth a bed for you, and traced for you paths upon it, and sends down water from the sky, and brings out through it every kind of vegetation 53 so eat and graze your cattle. In this there are signs for men of understanding. 54
