Al-A 'araaf 14 of 24
Said the eminent among the people of Pharaoh, "Indeed, this is a learned magician 109 "His plan is to get you out of your land: then what is it ye counsel?" 110 They said: "Put him and his brother off (awhile) and send out heralds to the cities 111 who should bring to you every skillful magician." 112 And the enchanters came to Firon (and) said: We must surely have a reward if we are the prevailing ones. 113 Answered [Pharaoh]: "Yes; and verily, you shall be among those who are near unto me." 114 They said: "O Musa (Moses)! Either you throw (first), or shall we have the (first) throw?" 115 He said, “You throw”; when they threw, they cast a magic spell upon the people’s eyes and terrified them, and they brought a great magic. 116 And We inspired to Moses, "Throw your staff," and at once it devoured what they were falsifying. 117 ۞ So the truth was established, and what they did became null. 118 They were therefore defeated here and they turned back humiliated. 119 And the sorcerers prostrated themselves 120 saying, "We declare our belief in the Lord of the Universe, 121 the Lord of Moses and Aaron. 122 Pharaoh said, "You dare believe in Him before I have given you permission? Behold, this is indeed a plot which you have devised in this city in order to drive its people out. But you shall soon know the consequences, 123 Surely I will cut off your hands and feet on the opposite sides and thereafter I will crucify you all. 124 They said: Lo! We are about to return unto our Lord! 125 You only take revenge on us because we believed in the Lord when we saw His miracles. Lord, grant us patience and let us die Muslims (submitted to God)." 126

كيف تعمل منظومة تمارين الحفظ؟ عند أدنى مستوى 0، تكون كل الكلمات ظاهرة. بينما يُخفي أعلى مستوى 9 كل الكلمات. فكيف تعمل المستويات المتوسطة، مثل 3، على سبيل المثال؟ قد تعتقد بأن المنظومة تخفي 3 من كل تسع كلمات بدقة. ليس تماما! في المستوى 3، لكل كلمة فرصة اختفاء بنسبة 3 من 9، و6 من 9 لتكون ظاهرة. بمعنى آخر، من الممكن، ولكن باحتمال شبة معدوم، أن تكون جميع كلمات المستوى 3 مخفية، أو أن تكون جميعها ظاهرة! وكذلك أيضًا، ففي المستويات المتوسطة، وبما يتناسب مع مستوى الصعوبة، يمكن أن تكون المخابئ غير كاملة أو شفافة جزئيًا بحيث تظهر الكلمات جزئيًا تحتها.
How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
