So when the apostles came to Lut's followers, 61 He said, "Indeed, you are people unknown." 62 They said, "But we have come to you with that about which they were disputing, 63 "Yet we bring to you the truth, and we are truthful. 64 so leave with your family some time in the latter part of the night, and walk behind them. Let none of you look back. Go where you are commanded." 65 We issued this command to him, for they were going to be destroyed in the morning. 66 Then came the people of the city, exulting at the news. 67 Lut said: "These are my guests: disgrace me not: 68 Fear Allah and do not disgrace me' 69 They (people of the city) said: "Did we not forbid you to entertain (or protect) any of the 'Alamin (people, foreigners, strangers, etc. from us)?" 70 Lot exclaimed in exasperation: "If you are bent on doing something, then here are my daughters." 71 Verily, by your life (O Muhammad SAW), in their wild intoxication, they were wandering blindly. 72 So the shriek seized them at sunrise. 73 and turned the land upside down, and rained down stones of baked clay. 74 Surely in this are signs for those who examine. 75 And lo! it is upon a road still uneffaced. 76 surely in this there is a sign for those who believe. 77 And the dwellers of the thicket also were most surely unjust. 78 So We took vengeance on them. And verily both are on a high-road open. 79
