T H (Taa Haa)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ Ta Ha. 1 We did not bestow the Qur'an on thee from on high to make thee unhappy, 2 only as reminder for those who have fear (of disobeying God). 3 it is a revelation from Him who has created the earth and the high heavens, 4 The Most Compassionate Lord is settled on the Throne (of the Universe). 5 To Him belongs what is in the heavens and what is on the earth and what is between them and what is under the soil. 6 And if thou say anything aloud, [He hears it] since, behold, He knows [even] the secret [thoughts of man] as well as all that is yet more hidden [within him]. 7 Allah! there is no god but He! To Him belong the most Beautiful Names. 8 And has the story of Moses reached you? - 9 When he saw a fire and said unto his folk: Lo! Wait! I see a fire afar off. Peradventure I may bring you a brand therefrom or may find guidance at the fire. 10 And when he came to it, he was called, "O Moses, 11 I am your Lord! Take off your sandals, for you are in the sacred valley of Tuwa. 12 I have chosen you. Therefore, listen to what shall be revealed. 13 "Verily, I am Allah: There is no god but I: So serve thou Me (only), and establish regular prayer for celebrating My praise. 14 The Hour is coming. But I choose to keep it hidden, so that every human being may be recompensed in accordance with his labours. 15 So let not him who believeth not therein and followeth his own desire keep thee away therefrom lest thou perish. 16 And what is this in your right hand, O Musa! 17 'Why, it is my staff,' said Moses. 'I lean upon it, and with it I beat down leaves to feed my sheep; other uses also I find in it. 18 He said, “Put it down, O Moosa! 19 So he threw it down, and lo, it became a running serpent. 20 He said, “Pick it up and do not fear; We shall restore it to its former state.” 21 And thrust thy hand within thine armpit, it will come forth white without hurt. (That will be) another token. 22 “In order that We may show you Our great signs.” 23 "Go thou to Pharaoh, for he has indeed transgressed all bounds." 24
