The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ Prosperous are the believers 1 Those who offer their Salat (prayers) with all solemnity and full submissiveness. 2 And those who turn away from Al-Laghw (dirty, false, evil vain talk, falsehood, and all that Allah has forbidden). 3 and who are intent on inner purity; 4 Who abstain from sex, 5 Except before their mates or those whom their right hands possess, for they surely are not blameable, 6 but those who seek to go beyond that are transgressors -- 7 those who are faithful to their trusts and promises; 8 and who observe their prayers. 9 It is they, they who shall be the inheritors 10 that shall inherit Paradise; and in it they shall abide for ever. 11 We created man of an extraction of clay, 12 Then We placed him as a sperm in a firmly established lodging; 13 Thereafter We created the sperm a clot; then We created the clot a lump of flesh; then We created the lump of flesh bones; then We clothed the bones with flesh: thereafter We brought him forth as another creature. Blest then be Allah, the Best of creators! 14 Then after that you shall surely die, 15 Then (again), surely, you will be resurrected on the Day of Resurrection. 16 And We have created above you seven paths, and We are never unmindful of creation. 17 And We send down water from the cloud according to a measure, then We cause it to settle in the earth, and most surely We are able to carry it away. 18 We grow orchards of dates and grapes from it for you, Which yield fruits in abundance that you eat. 19 and a tree issuing from the Mount of Sinai that bears oil and seasoning for all to eat. 20 You have a lesson in livestock. We provide you with drink from what is in their bellies, and you have many other benefits from them; some of them you eat, 21 and upon them and on the ships you are carried. 22
