The people of Noah also rejected the messengers. 105 when their brother Noah said to them, 'Will you not be godfearing? 106 I am a trustworthy messenger for you: 107 so fear Allah, and obey me. 108 I ask of you no recompense for it, for my only reward is with the Lord of the Universe, 109 so fear you God, and obey you me.' 110 ۞ They replied, "Are we to believe in you when your followers are but the lowest of the low?" 111 He said: I have no knowledge of that which they have been Working. 112 Their reckoning rests with none but my Sustainer: if you could but understand [this]! 113 And I am not one to drive away the believers. 114 I am only a plain warner." 115 They said, 'If thou givest not over, Noah, thou shalt assuredly be one of the stoned.' 116 He said, 'My Lord, my people have cried me lies, 117 "Judge Thou, then, between me and them openly, and deliver me and those of the Believers who are with me." 118 We saved him and those who were with him in the laden ship, 119 and drowned the rest. 120 Surely, in that there is a sign; yet most of them do not believe. 121 And indeed your Lord, only He is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 122
