The people of Lot cried lies to the Envoys 160 Behold, their brother Lut said to them: "Will ye not fear (Allah)? 161 I am a trustworthy Messenger. 162 “Therefore fear Allah and obey me.” 163 And I do not ask you any reward for it; my reward is only with the Lord of the worlds; 164 Do you, of all people, approach males, 165 leaving your wives that your Lord created for you? Nay, but you are a people of transgressors. 166 They said, “O Lut, if you do not desist, you will be expelled.” 167 He said, “I am disgusted with your works.” 168 My Lord, deliver me and my people from that they do.' 169 So We saved him and his family, all, 170 except an old woman who stayed behind, 171 Then We destroyed the rest of them, 172 and We sent upon them a rain, an evil rain that fell on those who had been warned. 173 Lo! herein is indeed a portent, yet most of them are not believers. 174 And verily! Your Lord, He is indeed the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful. 175
