3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
And assuredly Nuh cried unto us; and We are the Best of answerers! 75 We saved him and his people from the great distress, 76 And We preserved his descendants. 77 And left for him (a goodly remembrance) among generations to come in later times: 78 'Peace be upon Noah among all the worlds' 79 Verily, thus We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 80 he was truly one of Our faithful servants. 81 [and so We saved him and those who followed him] and then We caused the others to drown. 82 ۞ AND, BEHOLD, of his persuasion was Abraham, too, 83 When he came to his Lord with a pure heart, 84 When he said unto his father and his folk: What is it that ye worship? 85 Is it falsehood [as] gods other than Allah you desire? 86 What is then your idea about the Lord of the worlds? 87 Then he looked up at the stars (they worshipped), 88 and he said, 'Surely I am sick.' 89 and at that they turned their backs on him and went away. 90 Then he turned to their aliha (gods) and said: "Will you not eat (of the offering before you)? 91 "What is the matter with you that you speak not?" 92 He then began striking them with his right hand, unseen by the people. 93 whereupon people came to him running. 94 He said: "Worship ye that which ye have (yourselves) carved? 95 "When God has created you and what you make?" 96 They replied: 'Build for him a building and cast him into the fire' 97 They plotted against him, but We brought humiliation upon them. 98 And he said (after his rescue from the fire): "Verily, I am going to my Lord. He will guide me!" 99 "O my Lord! Grant me a righteous (son)!" 100 And We gave him the glad tidings of a very gentle son (Ishmael). 101 And when he reached the age when he could work with him, he said, "O my son, I have seen in a dream that I am sacrificing you. So tell me what you think of it!" He replied, "O my father, do as you are commanded; and God willing, you will find me steadfast." 102 Then, when they had both submitted themselves (to the Will of Allah), and he had laid him prostrate on his forehead (or on the side of his forehead for slaughtering); 103 And We called out to him, “O Ibrahim!” 104 You have indeed shown the truth of the vision; surely thus do We reward the doers of good: 105 Lo! that verily was a clear test. 106 And We ransomed him with a tremendous sacrifice, 107 and left for him among the later folk 108 "Peace be upon Abraham!" 109 Thus indeed do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 110 Surely he was one of Our believing servants. 111 And We gave him good tidings of Isaac, a prophet from among the righteous. 112 And We blessed him, and Isaac; and of their seed some are good-doers, and some manifest self-wrongers. 113

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
