Al-Saaffaat 4 of 5
THUS, INDEED, did We bestow Our favour upon Moses and Aaron; 114 And delivered them and their people from the great affliction. 115 And We helped them, so they were the vanquishers. 116 And We gave them the explicit Scripture, 117 And We guided them on the straight path. 118 and left them thus to be remembered among later generations: 119 "Peace be upon Moses and Aaron!" 120 This is how We reward those who do good: 121 Surely both of them were among Our believing servants. 122 So also was Elias among those sent (by Us). 123 (Call to mind) when he said to his people: “Will you not fear Allah? 124 Do you worship Ba`al and abandon the Best Creator. 125 God your Lord and Lord of your forefathers?" 126 They called him a liar. Thus, all of them will suffer torment 127 Except the chosen slaves of Allah. 128 And we left for him among the later folk (the salutation): 129 Peace be unto Elyasin. 130 It is thus indeed that We reward those who do good: 131 Lo! he is one of our believing slaves. 132 And Lot too was one of the Messengers. 133 [and so,] when [We decreed the doom of his sinful town,] We saved him and his household, 134 Save an old woman among those who stayed behind; 135 and We destroyed the others. 136 You pass by their desolate habitations in the morning 137 And at night; will you not then reflect? 138

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
