We certainly bestowed Our favor upon Moses and Aaron 114 And saved them and their people from the great distress, 115 And We helped them, so they overcame (their troubles); 116 and We gave them the Book which helps to make things clear; 117 And showed them the right path. 118 and We left them thus to be succeeded by a group [of followers] among later generations: 119 Salamun (peace) be upon Musa (Moses) and Harun (Aaron)!" 120 Thus do We reward the righteous ones. 121 they were among Our believing servants. 122 And verily, llyas was one of the sent ones. 123 When he said unto his folk: Will ye not ward off (evil)? 124 “What! You worship Baal (an idol) and leave the Best Creator?” 125 Allah is your Lord and the Lord of your fathers, the ancients' 126 But they denied him, so they surely will be haled forth (to the doom) 127 Save single-minded slaves of Allah. 128 And We let it (the beautiful praise) remain upon him in the latter (generations), 129 Salamun (peace) be upon Ilyasin (Elias)!" 130 That is how We reward those who do good. 131 for he was truly one of Our believing servants! 132 And Lut was most surely of the apostles. 133 When We delivered him and his followers, all-- 134 Save an old woman among those who stayed behind; 135 and We destroyed the rest. 136 You pass by their desolate habitations in the morning 137 and at night, will you not understand? 138
