Commemorate Our Servant Job. Behold he cried to his Lord: "The Evil One has afflicted me with distress and suffering!" 41 (The command was given:) "Strike with thy foot: here is (water) wherein to wash, cool and refreshing, and (water) to drink." 42 And We bestowed upon him new offspring, doubling their number as an act of grace from Us, and as a reminder unto all who are endowed with insight. 43 And (it was said unto him): Take in thine hand a branch and smite therewith, and break not thine oath. Lo! We found him steadfast, how excellent a slave! Lo! he was ever turning in repentance (to his Lord). 44 And remember Our bondmen Ibrahim, and Ishaq, and Yaqub – the men of power and knowledge. 45 Surely We purified them by a pure quality, the keeping in mind of the (final) abode. 46 They were, in Our sight, truly, of the company of the Elect and the Good. 47 Recall Ismael, Elisha, and Dhulkifl (Ezekiel) who were all virtuous people. 48 This is an admonition, and verily for the God-fearing is a happy retreat: 49 the Gardens of eternity with gates thrown wide open to them. 50 Reclining on pillows, in it they ask for fruits and drinks in plenty. 51 ۞ having beside them well-matched mates of modest gaze." 52 This is the promise being given to you, for the Day of Reckoning. 53 Indeed this is Our sustenance, which will never end. 54 This [is so]. But indeed, for the transgressors is an evil place of return - 55 Hell, where they will be roasted. An evil place to dwell! 56 Yea, such! - then shall they taste it,- a boiling fluid, and a fluid dark, murky, intensely cold!- 57 and other such torments. 58 [Its inhabitants will say], "This is a company bursting in with you. No welcome for them. Indeed, they will burn in the Fire." 59 But they will say: 'No, it is you that has no welcome. It was you who brought it upon us, an evil place' 60 They shall say: Our Lord! whoever prepared it first for us, add Thou to him a double chastisement in the fire. 61 They will say to one another: “But why do we not see those whom we considered him among the wicked? 62 Is it that we mistakenly made fun of them; or have they disappeared from our sight?” 63 Lo! that is very truth: the wrangling of the dwellers in the Fire. 64
