54 verses, revealed in Mecca after Forgiver (Ghaafer) before Consultation (Al-Shooraa)

Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Ha-Mim. [These letters are one of the miracles of the Quran, and none but Allah (Alone) knows their meanings.] 1 This is a revelation from the Most Merciful, the Most Compassionate, 2 A Book whereof the verses are detailed; an Arabic Qur'an, for a people who know. 3 As a giver of good tidings and a warner; but most of them turn away, so they do not hear. 4 And they say: "Our hearts are under coverings (screened) from that to which you invite us, and in our ears is deafness, and between us and you is a screen, so work you (on your way); verily, we are working (on our way)." 5 Say: 'I am only a mortal, like you are. To me it has been revealed that your God is One God; so go straight with Him, and ask for His forgiveness; and woe to the idolaters 6 Those who do not give the obligatory charity, and who deny the Hereafter. 7 Indeed for those who believed and did good deeds, is a limitless reward. 8
