Have you seen him who turns his back, 33 Who gives but little, and is niggardly? 34 Is with him knowledge of the unseen so that he seeth? 35 Has he not been made acquainted with what was written in the scriptures of Moses? 36 And (of) Ibrahim who fulfilled (the commandments): 37 “That no bearer of a burden shall bear the burden of another, 38 And that man will not obtain anything except what he strove for? 39 He will certainly see the result of his labor 40 and that he shall then be fully recompensed, 41 and that the final end is unto thy Lord, 42 And that it is He Who made (you) laugh and made (you) cry? 43 And that He it is Who causes death and gives life- 44 And that He createth the two spouses, the male and the female, 45 From a seed when lodged (in its place); 46 And that [incumbent] upon Him is the next creation 47 that He it is Who bestowed wealth and riches, 48 and that it is He alone who sustains the brightest star; 49 And that He did destroy the Ad of old 50 And that Thamud! He left not. 51 And the people of Nuh before; surely they were most unjust and inordinate; 52 And the subverted cities He overthrew. 53 And covered them by that which He covered. 54 So O listener! Which favour of your Lord will you doubt? 55 This is a warner from the warners of ancient times. 56 The threatened Hour is nigh. 57 and none but Allah can avert it. 58 Does this statement seem strange to them 59 And keep laughing and do not weep, 60 While you are proudly sporting? 61 So fall you down in prostration to Allah, and worship Him (Alone). ۩ 62
