Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ I do not need to swear by the setting of the stars 75 - which is indeed a great oath if only you knew it - 76 Indeed, it is a noble Qur'an 77 [conveyed unto man] in a well-guarded divine writ 78 which none shall touch except the purified; 79 (This Quran) is a revelation from the Lord of the Universe. 80 Would you say that this statement is a lie? 81 And you make its denial your share? 82 Why can you not help a soul dying 83 And you at the moment are looking on, 84 – at that moment when We are closer to him than you, although you do not see (Us) 85 why, then, if [you think that] you are not truly dependent [on Us,] 86 Can you not bring him back? (Answer) if you are truthful 87 Then, if he be of those brought nigh the Throne, 88 Then breath of life, and plenty, and a Garden of delight. 89 And if he be of the fellows on the right hand, 90 he will be welcomed by the words: “Peace to you” from the People on the Right. 91 But, if he is of those who belied, and went astray, 92 Then an entertainment of boiling water. 93 and the heat of hell fire. 94 Verily, this is the Very Truth and Certainly. 95 So exalt the Name of your Lord, the Great. 96
