Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ I swear by the Day of Resurrection; 1 and by the self-reproaching soul! 2 Does man think that We cannot [resurrect him and] bring his bones together again? 3 Yea! We are able to make complete his very fingertips 4 In fact man wishes to commit evil in front of Him! 5 He asks, “When will be the Day of Resurrection?” 6 but when the sight is dazed 7 And the moon shall be ecliped. 8 And the sun and the moon are brought together, 9 people will say, "Is there anywhere to run away?" 10 By no means! No place of safety! 11 With thy Sustainer, on that Day, the journey's end will be! 12 On that day, people will be informed of all that they had done and all that they were supposed to do. 13 In fact, man himself is keeping an eye on his state of affairs! 14 even though he offers his excuses. 15 Move not thy tongue with it to hasten it; 16 It's gathering and reciting is upon Us. 17 Thus, when We recite it, follow thou its wording [with all thy mind]: 18 It's explanation is upon Us. 19 Nay! But you love the present life, 20 and neglect the life to come. 21 On that Day there shall be radiant faces, 22 and look forward to receiving mercy from their Lord. 23 and some faces will on that Day be gloomy, 24 certain of facing a great calamity. 25 By no means! When it cometh up to the collar-bone. 26 And they will say, “Is there any one – any magician?” 27 and he thinks that it is the parting 28 When legs are twisted around each other, 29 The drive will be, on that Day, to your Lord (Allah)! 30
