AND HOW MANY a community has turned with disdain from the commandment of its Sustainer and His apostles! - whereupon We called them all to account with an accounting severe, and caused them to suffer with a suffering unnameable: 8 So they tasted the evil fruit of their deeds; and the fruit of their deeds was utter loss. 9 God has prepared severe retribution for them. People of understanding and believers, have fear of God. God has certainly sent you a reminder, 10 An Apostle who recites to you the clear communications of Allah so that he may bring forth those who believe and do good deeds from darkness into light; and whoever believes in Allah and does good deeds, He will cause him to enter gardens beneath which rivers now, to abide therein forever, Allah has indeed given him a goodly sustenance. 11 It is God who has created the seven heavens and a like number of earths. His commandments are sent between them, so that you would know that God has power over all things and that His knowledge encompasses all. 12
