Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By the winds sent forth in swift succession, 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 and by the scatterers scattering (rain) 3 And those [angels] who bring criterion 4 and those (angels) dropping, reminding 5 excusing or warning, 6 Indeed what you are promised, will surely befall. 7 When the stars are extinguished, 8 And when the sky is riven asunder, 9 The mountains will be blown away as dust. 10 And when the time of the Noble Messengers arrives. 11 To what day is the doom fixed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what will explain to you what is the Day of sorting out? 14 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients 16 Then caused the latter folk to follow after? 17 thus do We deal with the culprits. 18 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 19 Did We not create you out of a humble fluid 20 that We laid within a sure lodging 21 for an appointed term? 22 Thus We arranged. How excellent is Our arranging! 23 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 24 Have We not made the earth a container 25 for the living and the dead, 26 Have We not placed high mountains upon it and filled you with sweet water? 27 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 28 Depart to that you cried was lies! 29 Proceed to that shadow, rising in three columns 30 which neither gives shade nor protects one from the flames. 31 it throws spits as (high as a huge) palace, 32 sparks like to golden herds. 33 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 34 That will be the Day on which they will not (be able to) utter a word, 35 Nor shall they be permitted so that they might excuse themselves. 36 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 37 Such is the Day of Decision. We will gather you with the ancients. 38 If now you have any strategy, use it against Me. 39 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 40
