The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By the sky and the night comer - 1 What could let you know what the nightly comer is! 2 It is the piercing star - 3 For every soul there is a watcher. 4 So let man look - from what is he created. 5 He was created of spurting water 6 issuing from between the loins [of man] and the pelvic arch [of woman]. 7 Indeed Allah is Able to return him. 8 on the Day when all secrets will be laid bare, 9 Then will he have no might nor any helper. 10 By the rotating heavens 11 and the replenishing earth, 12 Verily! This (the Quran) is the Word that separates (the truth from falsehood, and commands strict legal laws for mankind to cut the roots of evil). 13 it is not a jest. 14 Behold, they [who refuse to accept it] devise many a false argument [to disprove its truth]; 15 And I (too) am planning a plan. 16 So allow time for the disbelievers. Leave them awhile. 17
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
