Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ When the sky is split, 1 And when the stars become dispersed, 2 And when the seas are made to flow forth, 3 and when the graves are laid open: 4 every soul will see the result of its deeds - those recorded before his death and those which will produce either virtue or evil after his death. 5 O man! what hath beguiled thee concerning thy Lord, the Bountiful, 6 Who created you, fashioned you perfectly, and gave you due proportion; 7 in whatever composition He wanted. 8 No indeed; (the fact is that) you deny the Reckoning, declaring it a lie; 9 Surely there are guardians over you, 10 noble, writers 11 They know (and understand) all that ye do. 12 Indeed the virtuous are in serenity. 13 And indeed, the wicked will be in Hellfire. 14 [a fire] which they shall enter on Judgment Day, 15 And will not be absent thence. 16 Ah, what will convey unto thee what the Day of Judgment is! 17 Again, what do you know – of what sort is the Day of Justice! 18 It is the Day when no one shall have the power to do anything for another, and all command shall be Allah's. 19
