Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ When the sky breaks apart 1 And when the stars fall, scattering, 2 when the oceans are gushed forth, 3 And the sepulchres are overturned, 4 A soul will [then] know what it has put forth and kept back. 5 Human being, what evil has deceived you about your Gracious Lord, 6 who created you, fashioned you and proportioned you, 7 Into whatever form He pleased He constituted you. 8 Rather, you belied the Recompense. 9 but you should know that there are angelic guards 10 Honorable recorders, 11 who know of all that you do. 12 Verily the pious shall be in Delight. 13 And lo! the wicked verily will be in hell; 14 They will enter it on the Day of Justice. 15 nor shall they ever be absent from it. 16 And what will make you realize what the day of judgment is? 17 Again, what will convey unto thee what the Day of Judgment is! 18 A day when no soul shall possess aught to succour another soul; that day the Command shall belong unto God. 19
True are the words of God the Almighty.
