The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
CONSIDER the heavens and that which comes in the night! 1 And what shall make thee know that which the night-comer is? 2 It is the piercing star. 3 There is no soul but that it has over it a protector. 4 So let man see from what he is created! 5 he was created of gushing water 6 Coming from between the back and the ribs. 7 Surely He (the Creator) has the power to bring him back (to life). 8 On the day when all secrets will be made public, 9 he shall have no power, and no helper. 10 By the sky which returns [rain] 11 and by the earth ever bursting with verdure, 12 surely it is a decisive word; 13 And no trifle. 14 They are devising a guile, 15 but I shall bring all their scheming to nought. 16 Give respite to the disbelievers and leave them alone for a while. 17
Almighty Allah's Truth.
