The All High (Al-A'alaa)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Rolling (Al-Takweer) before The Night (Al-Layl)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Glorify the name of your Lord, the Most High, 1 Who creates, then makes complete, 2 And Who makes (things) according to a measure, then guides (them to their goal), 3 Who brings out the pastures 4 and then made it into a blackish straw. 5 We shall make thee read (O Muhammad) so that thou shalt not forget 6 Except what Allah should will. Indeed, He knows what is declared and what is hidden. 7 We shall facilitate for you the Easy Way. 8 Remind, if the reminder can be of benefit. 9 in mind will keep it he who stands in awe [of God,] 10 but the wretched will turn away from it. 11 He who will be flung to the great Fire 12 Wherein he will neither die (to be in rest) nor live (a good living). 13 To happiness [in the life to come] will indeed attain he who attains to purity [in this world,] 14 and remembers his Sustainer's name, and prays [unto Him]. 15 But nay, [O men,] you prefer the life of this world, 16 Whereas the Hereafter is better and everlasting. 17 Indeed, this is in the former scriptures, 18 the scrolls of Abraham and Moses. 19
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
