Dawn (Al-Fajr)
30 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Night (Al-Layl) before The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
CONSIDER the daybreak 1 And the Ten Nights, 2 by the even and the odd, 3 and by the night when it moves on towards daybreak (reward and retribution in the next life is an absolute reality). 4 Is there [not] in [all] that an oath [sufficient] for one of perception? 5 Have you not seen how your Lord dealt with Ad 6 The people of many-columned lram. 7 the like of whom no nation was ever created in the lands of the world? 8 And with (the tribe of) Thamud, who clove the rocks in the valley; 9 And with Pharaoh, firm of might, 10 Who terrorised the region, 11 and worked much corruption therein? 12 So your Lord poured a scourge of punishment over them. 13 Most surely your Lord is watching. 14 And as for man, when his Lord tries him and [thus] is generous to him and favors him, he says, "My Lord has honored me." 15 But when He trieth him, restricting his subsistence for him, then saith he (in despair), "My Lord hath humiliated me!" 16 Nay! but you do not honor the orphan, 17 and you do not urge one another to feed the needy, 18 And you devour (others') inheritance greedily, 19 and you ardently love wealth. 20 Nay! When the earth is ground to powder, 21 And your Lord has come and the angels, rank upon rank, 22 And hell is made to appear on that day. On that day shall man be mindful, and what shall being mindful (then) avail him? 23 He will say: 'Would that I had forwarded (good works) for my life!' 24 So on that day, no one punishes like He does! 25 And His bonds will be such as none (other) can bind. 26 O thou peaceful soul! 27 "Come back to your Lord, Well-pleased (yourself) and well-pleasing unto Him! 28 "Enter thou, then, among My devotees! 29 Enter My Paradise." 30
True are the words of God the Almighty.

Notes and Instructions
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
ColorfulQuran.com displays pages in one of three Arabic fonts. Each may appear with a one-third chance, adding more diversity to the already diverse colors. And the words remain unchanged forever. ColorfulQuran.com will have more beautiful fonts soon, God willing.
