Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful

May the hands of Abu Lahab be ruined, and ruined is he. 1 His wealth and gains will not exempt him. 2 He shall soon burn in fire that flames, 3 and also his wife who carries the fuel, 4 Will have a strap of fibre rope around her neck. 5

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
