Hizb 46

And Jonah too was one of the Messengers. 139 when he ran away to the laden ship 140 And lots were cast (when a storm overtook them), he was rejected, (and thrown overboard). 141 and the fish swallowed him while he was blaming himself. 142 and had he not been among those who exalt (Allah), 143 he would have tarried in its belly until the day they shall be raised; 144 ۞ But We threw him on a wide bare tract of land while he was ill; 145 And We grew a tree of gourd (as a shelter) above him. 146 We sent him to a hundred thousand men or more, 147 And they believed, so We gave them enjoyment [of life] for a time. 148 Now ask them whether your Lord has daughters, whereas they have sons. 149 or is it that We have created the angels female, and they [who believe them to be divine] have witnessed [that act of creation]? 150 Oh, verily, it is out of their own [inclination to] falsehood that some people assert, 151 Allah has begotten; and most surely they are liars. 152 Did He choose daughters rather than sons? 153 Woe to you! How terrible is your Judgment. 154 What, will you not remember? 155 Or have you, perchance, a clear evidence [for your assertions]? 156 Then bring ye your Book (of authority) if ye be truthful! 157 And some people have invented a kinship between Him and all manner of invisible forces although [even] these invisible forces know well that, verily, they [who thus blaspheme against God] shall indeed be arraigned [before Him on Judgment Day: for] 158 Glory be to Allah (for freedom) from what they describe; 159 Not thus, however, [behave] God's true servants: 160 for, verily, neither you [blasphemers] nor the objects of your worship 161 shall not be able to tempt anyone away from Allah 162 Save him who will go to hell. 163 (Those ranged in ranks say): "Not one of us but has a place appointed; 164 we are the rangers, 165 And indeed, we are those who exalt Allah." 166 AND, INDEED, they [who deny the truth] have always been wont to say, 167 "Had we received guidance from the people living before us, 168 we would have certainly been sincere servants of God". 169 But (now) they disbelieve in it, so they will come to know. 170 And Our word has already preceded for Our servants, the messengers, 171 assuredly they shall be helped, 172 And [that] indeed, Our soldiers will be those who overcome. 173 Therefore turn away from them till a time, 174 Watch them: they will soon see. 175 What! would they then hasten on Our chastisement? 176 Then, when it descends into their courtyard (i.e. near to them), evil will be the morning for those who had been warned! 177 So turn (away) from them for a while, 178 And watch, for they will soon see. 179 Hallowed be thine Lord, the Lord of Majesty, from that which they ascribe! 180 And peace be upon the Envoys; 181 And all praise is due to Allah, the Lord of the worlds. 182
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
