Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
26 verses, revealed in Mecca after Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat) before The Cave (Al-Kahf)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Have you heard about the Overwhelming Event? 1 Some faces will on that Day be downcast, 2 Working [hard] and exhausted. 3 Entering into burning fire, 4 Made to drink from a boiling spring. 5 No food will there be for them but a poisonous thorny plant, 6 which will neither fatten them nor satisfy them. 7 (Other) faces, that Day, will be joyful, 8 well-pleased with [the fruit of] their striving, 9 They will be in a lofty Garden 10 Where they hear no idle speech, 11 In it is a flowing spring. 12 raised couches, 13 And cups set at hand. 14 and cushions arrayed in rows, 15 and carpets spread out. 16 Will they not regard the camels, how they are created? 17 how heaven was lifted up, 18 And at the mountains, how firmly they are reared? 19 And the earth, how it was spread out? 20 Admonish thou then; thou art but an admonisher. 21 thou canst not compel them [to believe]. 22 However, those who turn away and disbelieve, 23 Then Allah will punish him with the greatest punishment. 24 To Us is surely their returning; 25 Then, surely, it is for Us to call them to account. 26
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.

Notes and Instructions
ColorfulQuran.com displays pages in one of three Arabic fonts. Each may appear with a one-third chance, adding more diversity to the already diverse colors. And the words remain unchanged forever. ColorfulQuran.com will have more beautiful fonts soon, God willing.
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
