Al-Furqaan 4 of 6
(Before this,) We sent Moses The Book, and appointed his brother Aaron with him as minister; 35 We told them, "Both of you go to the people who have rejected Our revelations." We completely destroyed these unbelievers. 36 We drowned the people of Noah also when they rejected their messengers and We made them an example to all mankind. We have prepared a painful punishment for the wrongdoers, 37 To each of the tribes of Ad, Thamud, the settlers around the well and many generations in between 38 for each We struck similitudes, and each We ruined utterly. 39 Surely, these people have passed by that habitation on which was rained an evil rain: have they not seen its ruins? But they do not expect another life in the Hereafter. 40 Whenever they see you they only make a mockery of you -- "Is this the one God has sent as His Messenger? 41 “Possibly he would have misled us away from our Gods had we not been firm upon them”; soon they will know, when they see the punishment, who was astray from the path. 42 Have you seen him who has made gods of his own desires? Would you be a guardian over him? 43 Or thinkest thou that most of them listen or understand? They are only like cattle;- nay, they are worse astray in Path. 44
