The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful

WOE TO EVERY slanderer, back-biter, 1 [Woe unto him who amasses wealth and counts it a safeguard, 2 Does he think his wealth will abide for ever with him? 3 Nay, but verily he will be flung to the Consuming One. 4 Ah, what will convey unto thee what the Consuming One is! 5 The fire of Allah, that is ablaze. 6 Which leapeth up over the hearts (of men). 7 It shall be made into a vault over them, 8 In pillars stretched forth. 9

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
