And the dwellers in Al-Hijr denied (Our) messengers. 80 We also gave them Our Signs, yet they turned away from them. 81 They carved out dwellings in the mountains, and lived in security -- 82 So the rumbling overtook them in the morning; 83 And all that which they used to earn availed them not. 84 We did not create the heavens and the earth, and what is between them except in truth. The Hour is sure to come, therefore, forgive them with a gracious pardon. 85 Verily, your Lord is the All-Knowing Creator. 86 And assuredly We have vouchsafed unto thee seven of the repetitions and the mighty Qur'an. 87 [so] turn, not thine eyes [longingly] towards the worldly benefits which We have granted unto some of those [that deny the truth]. And neither grieve over those [who refuse to heed thee,] but spread the wings of thy tenderness over the believers, 88 And say: Lo! I, even I, am a plain warner, 89 [For, thou art the bearer of a divine writ] such as We have bestowed from on high upon those who [afterwards] broke it up into parts, 90 who have broken the Koran into fragments. 91 By your Lord, We will question them all 92 For that which they have been working. 93 Proclaim then, what you are commanded and turn away from the unbelievers. 94 We are surely sufficient to deal with those who scoff at you, 95 and those who set up other gods with Allah, indeed, they will soon know. 96 And We already know that your breast is constrained by what they say. 97 but extol thou thy Sustainer's limitless glory and praise Him, and be of those who prostrate themselves [before Him] in adoration, 98 And worship thy Lord until there cometh unto thee the certainty. 99
