The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Exalt the name of your Lord, the Most High, 1 Who has created (all things) proportionately, 2 Who hath ordained laws. And granted guidance; 3 It is He who has caused the grass to grow, 4 and then made it into a blackish straw. 5 WE SHALL teach thee, and thou wilt not forget [aught of what thou art taught,] 6 unless God wills it to be otherwise. He knows all that is made public and all that remains hidden. 7 And We shall make easy unto thee the easy way. 8 Therefor remind (men), for of use is the reminder. 9 Soon whoever fears will heed advice. 10 And the most unfortunate one will avoid it, 11 Who will enter the great Fire and made to taste its burning, 12 In which he will neither die nor live. 13 Surely he will succeed who grows in goodness, 14 And remembers (glorifies) the Name of his Lord (worships none but Allah), and prays (five compulsory prayers and Nawafil additional prayers). 15 But you prefer the present life, 16 but the Everlasting Life is better, and more enduring. 17 Verily! This is in the former Scriptures, 18 the scrolls of Abraham and Moses. 19
