So I do call to witness what ye see, 38 and by what you do not see, 39 because the Quran is certainly the word of a reverent messenger. 40 It is not the speech of a poet (little do you believe) 41 Nor the word of a soothsayer; little is it that you mind. 42 It is a revelation sent down by the Sustainer of the Universe: 43 And if he [i.e., the Prophets] had forged this Discourse and thereafter ascribed it to Us, 44 We would indeed have seized him by his right hand 45 and would indeed have cut his life-vein, 46 And not one of you would have withheld us from punishing him. 47 And indeed this Qur’an is an advice for the pious. 48 And We certainly know that there are amongst you those that reject (it). 49 And indeed it (this Quran) will be an anguish for the disbelievers (on the Day of Resurrection). 50 yet it is a certain truth. 51 So glorify the name of thy Tremendous Lord. 52
