Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate

The desire to have more of the worldly gains have pre-occupied you so much (that you have neglected remembring God), 1 until you come to the graves. 2 But no, indeed, you shall soon know. 3 Again, yes certainly, you will soon realise! 4 Lo! would that ye knew now with the surety of knowledge! 5 you would indeed, most surely, behold the blazing fire [of hell]! 6 Then you will surely see it with the eye of certainty. 7 then you shall be questioned that day concerning true bliss. 8

God the Almighty always says the truth.
